Meet Lea-Maude Roy, AMFT#158639

I’ve always been deeply curious about people and their life experiences: what makes them who they are and how their stories shape the way they move through the world. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others, and I discovered my calling during my first psychology classes in high school. Everyone has a unique story to tell, and I believe that our experiences, background, and context influence not only how we see ourselves and relate to others, but also how we understand and cope with life’s challenges

I completed my Master’s in Clinical Psychology (Marriage and Family Therapy emphasis) at Pepperdine University and have provided therapy and emotional support in diverse settings, including a Los Angeles all-boys high school, a senior home, and an elementary school. My clinical experience includes working with adolescents, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, identity exploration, trauma, pressure, and relational challenges.

Therapy, to me, should be a space where you can simply “be”; no judgment, no expectations. My approach isn’t one-size-fits-all; it’s collaborative and tailored to your needs, pace, and goals. You’re the expert on your life, and I’m here to help you reconnect with what matters most.

Having lived in several parts of the world—including Dubai, Montreal, and Los Angeles—I bring a multicultural perspective that deeply informs my work. I see therapy as a space for understanding rather than “fixing,” where we explore the systems we live in, the beliefs we’ve internalized, and the patterns that keep us from feeling free. My goal is to create a safe and genuine space for clients to reconnect with their values and sense of self.

Outside of the therapy room, I find balance through creativity, movement, travel, and time by the ocean – reminders of the calm, openness, and groundedness I hope to offer in my work.
